About chef Yun

I left Korea and made the UK my home for over 20yrs. Cooking is always my passion and my mum was my inspiration.
Once Thich Nhat Hanh said "Love is the capacity to take care, to protect and to Nourish" Cooking has been a manifestation of love in my family and in my culture and I am happy that I can continue the legacy and share with like-minded people.
I started out as a humble chef as a way of supporting myself during my Art study in London and made my way up to be a head chef in the event catering industry working in prestigious venues such as the National Gallery, V&A and Royal Academy of Art.
After I had two children I became a development chef as an Asian specialist. Working in the retail sector as a creative cook was hugely rewarding. It was largely a team effort but seeing my creation on retail shop floors such as M&S, Sainsbury, Waitrose and Tesco was an exciting time.
I learnt a lot about people and life through food. I am also fascinated by how the humble act of cooking and sharing can affect so many people on different levels.
We all have our food tales and memories stored in our hearts. I am excited to hear your stories.
